4 College Basketball Player Prop Bets for Friday, March 15: Ingram Should Crash Boards Hard for UNC

The ides of March are upon us. With Selection Sunday less than 48 hours away, the teams remaining in the multiple big-time men’s college basketball conference tournaments are using their last games to impress the committee for better seeding or as a final push to make the tournament.

With several big-name programs still trying to prove their mettle, which players should fans – and bettors alike – pay attention to for Friday, March 15 games? We’ll reveal our best four NCAA men’s college basketball player prop bets for tonight’s marquee conference tournament games below.

North Carolina Tar Heels’ Harrison Ingram OVER 9.5 Rebounds

The No. 7 ranked UNC Tar Heels (26-6) are locks for the NCAA Tournament next week. What isn’t secured, however, is a potential No. 1 seed for the tournament. To make their case, UNC will need big games from each of their starters, including Harrison Ingram, en route to an ACC Tournament Championship game berth.

Tonight’s semi-final opponent is the Pittsburgh Panthers (22-10). When these two teams met earlier this season, Ingram grabbed 15 total rebounds – including five from his own team’s misses – to help the Tar Heels earn a 70-57 victory. Expect Ingram – who has 10 or more rebounds in six of his past seven games – to again notch at least 10 boards Friday.

Providence Friars’ Devin Carter UNDER 19.5 Points

Providence is another team that seems locked into the NCAA Tournament next week. Despite that status, the Friars (21-12) could use a second victory over the No. 10 ranked Marquette Golden Eagles (24-8) Friday to ensure their inclusion and improve their seeding.

Providence’s leading scorer is Devin Carter. The 6’3” junior from Miami is averaging 19.5 points per game, the mark oddsmakers are using on a points player prop for Carter. Playing in his team’s third game in three days, expect Carter and his teammates to show fatigue late in the game, keeping him from covering this prop wager.

Arizona Wildcats’ Pelle Larsson OVER 3.5 Assists

Another team that is locked into the NCAA tournament next week is the No. 6 ranked Arizona Wildcats (25-7). The Wildcats are a dangerous team that shares the basketball extremely well, led by their Swedish guard Pelle Larsson. The 6’6” senior tops Arizona with 3.6 assists per outing.

Tonight’s opponent in the final PAC 12 tournament is Oregon (21-11). In two games against the Ducks this season, Larsson averaged 5.0 assists per game and did not fail to record less than four in either outing. Expect Larsson to again record at least four assists for Arizona Friday night to cover this player prop bet.

Iowa State Cyclones’ Keshon Gilbert OVER 12.5 Points

When No. 7 ranked Iowa State (25-7) faces off against No. 14 ranked Baylor (23-9) Friday night in the Big 12 semi-finals, both teams are jockeying for NCAA Tournament positioning. The Cyclones have an outside chance of a No. 1 seed, especially if other top-ranked teams falter down the stretch.

Iowa State is led by junior guard Keshon Gilbert, a junior averaging 13.5 points per game this season. In these two teams’ only matchup this year, Gilbert exploded for 24 points in a 70-68 loss to the Bears. Expect Gilbert to exploit Baylor’s defense again Friday night to eclipse the 12.5-points mark needed to successfully secure this player prop bet.
