3 Underdog College Hoops Player Prop Picks for Wednesday, February 21: Expect a Big Night from Shannon and the Illini

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Can you smell it? March is officially on the horizon. We are less than a month away from the action tipping off, which means that teams are on the hunt to solidify their spot in the big dance.

As we know, anything can happen in this tournament. When teams get in, it doesn’t matter how well they played throughout the year, the madness can take over and provide some electrifying upsets.

As we wait for the madness, there are plenty of games taking place each night, including tonight, which has a ton of marquee contests tipping off. We’ve studied the board, and while we like a lot of props, here are our three favorites, which can all be found on Underdog. Let’s get into it!

Kyle Filipowski OVER 15.5 Points

Kyle Filipowski has been one of our favorite players to bet on all season. He has been the picture of consistency for the Duke Blue Devils all season, averaging 17 points per game, and has overall been a great player on their roster.

Duke is taking on Miami tonight, and while Miami is unranked, we’re expecting this to be a hard-fought, close game. Look for Filipowski to take over early in this one and make his presence known.

Mark Sears OVER 22.5 Points

Tonight’s matchup between Alabama and Florida is the only game between ranked opponents on the slate. We’re expecting a true battle tonight, especially since both teams are on a bit of a winning streak.

While 22.5 points is a high line for a college basketball player, Mark Sears has shown up in these big games all year. Alabama has played in three ranked matchups in the past month, and Sears has scored 22 or more in all three of those games.

Look for him to have another big game, putting up at least 23 in this intense battle. Roll Tide!

Terrence Shannon Jr. OVER 20.5 Points

Terrence Shannon Jr. has turned into one of the most fun players to watch in the country. He provides electrifying performances whenever he is on the court, and is one of the biggest reasons that Illinois is ranked 12th in the nation.

He averages over 21 points per game, which is the eighth-best mark in the NCAA this season. We expect him to score close to, if not exceed his season average tonight against a struggling Penn State squad, which is why we’re taking his over tonight. Best of luck!
