Jets at Browns: Underdog Props for Thursday Night Football
Expect the Flacco/Cooper connection and Breece Hall’s receiving magic to be on full display Thursday night, while Tyler Conklin and Kareem Hunt are a few playmakers to bet against in this AFC matchup. Check out the rest of our Underdog Fantasy props below.
RB Breece Hall (NYJ) OVER 4.0 REC
Coming off a career game, it’s evident that Breece Hall is QB-proof, and nearly matchup-proof. The second-year running back ranks in the top 5 in most PPR formats and has been an elite pass catcher recently.
He’s hit this over in five of the last six outings, including 12 catches on 16 targets in Siemian’s 2nd start last game.
TE Tyler Conklin (NYJ) UNDER 29.5 REC YDS
While Conklin has been utilized by both Wilson and Siemian this season, the veteran tight end might fail to reach this 30-yard mark against a Cleveland defense allowing a league-best 160 pass YPG this season.
Although Tyler will finish the season with the most yards in a season in his career, a matchup against the Browns' ferocious defense will end in a subpar outing.
QB Joe Flacco (CLE) OVER 233.5 PASS YDS
Riding the hot hand here, Joe Flacco has reached this over in all four games he’s started for Cleveland. While the Jets are 2nd in the league in passing defense, allowing just 168.6 YPG through the air, Flacco throwing the ball 40-plus times per outing should give us another productive day for the veteran and his passing stats.
While the Jets’ defensive unit keeps them in games, they are beatable on big plays from Cooper, Moore, Hunt, and more of the Browns’ key playmakers.
WR Amari Cooper (CLE) OVER 57.5 REC YDS
Coop is in the midst of the best stretch of his career, topping it off with 11 catches for 265 yards with 2 scores last week against Houston. Flacco and Cooper officially have this strange bond and connection that you need to capitalize on as a bettor, regardless of the matchup this week.
Amari has hit this mark in three straight games with Flacco and while healthy, so ride the hot hand here on TNF.
RB Kareem Hunt (CLE) UNDER 27.5 RUSH YDS
While Cooper, Njoku, and the other Cleveland playmakers are solid bets on Thursday, Kareem Hunt’s lack of productivity over the past few weeks is a sign to bet his under against the Jets. Hunt hasn’t hit the 40% snap mark since Week 11 and the 50-yard mark since Week 8.
While Jerome Ford has taken over RB1 duties, Kareem hasn’t reached the 28-yard rush marker in the last three games. Let's bet against the backup RB in a game where he may not receive more than 10 touches.
