1. Aaron Judge (New York Yankees)
Judge had an unbelievable 2024 regular season. He led the MLB in home runs with 58 and RBIs with 144 all while hitting a dominant .322. It wasn’t enough to get the coveted batting Triple Crown, but it was very close. His 1.159 OPS was the best in the league, and he won his second AL MVP award in just 3 years.
In fantasy, Judge gives you everything you need to dominate your league — elite power, run production, and a high batting average. When healthy, he’s arguably the best hitter in baseball.
Despite a phenomenal regular season, his postseason struggles were hard to ignore. He hit just .184 in 14 playoff games and batted a dismal .140 in the World Series, where he struck out 19 times in 40 at-bats. He also made a costly error in Game 5 that contributed to the Yankees' loss to the Dodgers.
That said, Judge is using the disappointing finish as motivation for his 2025 season. With Juan Soto gone, he’ll have even more pressure to carry the Yankees’ offense in 2025. 2. Juan Soto (New York Mets)
Soto made headlines this offseason by signing a record-breaking 15-year, $765 million deal with the Mets. While there was plenty of drama that unfolded with where he went, it’s all for a really good reason.
In 2024, he hit .288 with 41 home runs and 109 RBIs. He finished with a .989 OPS to cap off his insane season. His ability to hit for power while maintaining a high OBP makes him one of the most valuable fantasy hitters in the game.
We’ll admit that Soto’s move to the Mets brings some uncertainty. Citi Field isn’t as hitter-friendly as Yankee Stadium, and the Mets’ offense isn’t as strong as the Yankees’ was in 2024. That could limit his RBIs and runs a bit. However, Soto has consistently put up elite numbers no matter where he plays and we don’t think he’ll take too much of a dip.
At just 26 years old, he’s still in the midst of his prime. He’s a premier fantasy option who will deliver power, RBIs, and one of the best on-base percentages in baseball. You can’t go wrong if you pick Soto in the first round.
3. Kyle Tucker (Chicago Cubs)
Tucker was traded from the Astros to the Cubs this offseason and the move added a new dynamic to his fantasy value.
He hit .289 with 23 home runs and 49 RBIs last season making him a decent pick for anyone who rostered him. His .993 OPS was actually better than Soto’s, showing how efficient he was despite missing time due to some injuries. His numbers are actually great when you consider the fact that he only played just over half of the season.
The big question is how he’ll fit in with the Cubbies.
His contract negotiations have stalled for now, with Tucker and the Cubs heading toward an arbitration hearing. While this might not impact his on-field performance, it’s something to monitor as he could end up being traded again before the deadline.
Tucker has expressed excitement about joining the Cubs and believes they can compete in 2025. We think that he’s a high-upside pick who could put up even better numbers in a new environment.
4. Mookie Betts (Los Angeles Dodgers)

The biggest concern is his health. Betts played just 116 games last season. Injuries are starting to become more of a factor as he enters his mid-30s. However, when he’s on the field, he’s still an elite fantasy option you won’t want to pass up.
If you want a player who can contribute across the board in numerous stat categories, Betts is a solid pick. Just be prepared for some potential missed games as his aging body takes a toll.
5. Fernando Tatis Jr. (San Diego Padres)
Tatis had a solid but what we’d call an unspectacular 2024 season. He hit .276 with 21 home runs and 49 RBIs despite not playing the full season. His .833 OPS was undoubtedly respectable, but it wasn’t quite at the level of the other outfielders on this list.
The biggest concern with Tatis is his durability. He played only 102 games last season as he missed some time due to injuries. If he stays healthy, he has the talent to put up much bigger numbers than before.
Despite the lower power numbers, he remains one of the best fantasy options because of his all-around skills. He can hit for average, provides relatively decent power, and has speed that could lead to some stolen bases. He didn’t put up many SBs last year, but he’s been known to get really close to joining the 30/30 club.
If you’re looking for a player with a bit of bounce-back potential, Tatis is a good mid-round fantasy pick.
