Monday Night Football: Best Pick'em Picks for Underdog

Week 3 of Monday Night Football features two games. First, the 2-0 Eagles travel to Tampa Bay to face an undefeated Bucs team headed by Baker Mayfield and his redemption season. Expect Philly to wrap up the week at 3-0 as Hurts and A.J. Brown should dominate.
Next, the struggling Bengals host the Rams and Matt Stafford, who should put together another 300-yard game with Puka Nacua having another fantastic game in his first primetime matchup.
QB Jalen Hurts (PHI) UNDER 9.5 RUSH ATT
Hurts has been in complete control of this offense as the Eagles look to make that leap to 3-0 on Monday. After narrow wins against New England and Minnesota, Hurts should have an easier matchup against the Buccaneers.
Tampa lacks talent on the offensive side of the ball but has pulled away from Chicago and the Vikings to surprisingly end up at 2-0. Jalen never had three consecutive games with 10 or more rushing attempts last season and facing up against a tough Bucs front line, don’t expect him to be able to scramble as much in this game.
WR A.J. Brown (PHI) OVER 5.0 REC
With Devonta Smith dealing with a hamstring injury, we love A.J. Brown’s “over” on Monday night. While Smith has proven to be Jalen’s favorite target this season, Brown vocalized his displeasure with Hurts on the sideline last week.
To keep the family happy, expect A.J. to be a focal point of the offense on primetime as the Eagles look to make it 3-0 on the road.
QB Baker Mayfield (TB) OVER 0.5 INT
Mayfield has been nearly perfect this season, proving that he belongs in the NFL as a starting QB. While playing against fairly easy defenses in Chicago and Minnesota, expect him to struggle to start this game against an Eagles defense that has dropped off a bit from 2022, but still has elite playmakers on their side.
Philly only had six games last season without an interception, so we are putting money on Baker to slip up at a certain point.
RB Rachaad White (TB) OVER 3.5 REC
The Bucs are bound to struggle to move the ball downfield in this game, so Rachaad White as a safety net for Baker Mayfield has value. He went for 5 catches last week and finished last season on a strong note hitting this mark over 50% of the time after his bye week.
While Godwin and Evans could struggle to get targets against Darius Slay and company, we love White as a pass catcher this week.
QB Matthew Stafford (LAR) OVER 252.5 PASS YDS
The Rams have been a pleasant surprise this season given Cooper Kupp’s lingering injury. Matt Stafford has looked like a top-tier QB, Kyren Williams has dominated as the RB1, and Puka Nacua has emerged as one of the top rookie wideouts from his class.
Stafford has gone for over 300 yards in his first two games this season and heads to Cincy to face a downgraded defense from 2022 that has allowed 765 total yards this season.
While this game has a different vibe from the Super Bowl just a few years ago, expect Stafford to dominate through the air with Nacua, Higbee, and Atwell emerging as great fantasy options this week.
