Mavericks at Celtics: 3 Player Props for Game 1 on June 6
Luka Doncic should be ready to dominate Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

The NBA Finals start tonight! We don’t know about you, but we’re very excited to watch everything unfold during this series. After a week without NBA action, we’re certainly looking forward to how Game 1 goes down, and how the tone will be set for the rest of the series.

The Dallas Mavericks head to TD Garden to meet up with the Boston Celtics tonight, a game in which the Celtics are favored by 6.5 points. As we get ready for the action, we’ve taken a good look at Underdog’s props, and think we’ve put together some great picks that can sweep the board. Let’s begin!

Luka Doncic OVER 8.5 1Q Points

Luka Doncic seems incredibly motivated to stick it to the Celtics. He and Kyrie Irving made quick work of the Minnesota Timberwolves during the Western Conference Finals, and they are hoping to do the same to the Celtics.

Doncic comes alive early in big games, and in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, he will look to do everything he can in the first quarter. Look for Doncic to have 12, maybe 15 points in the first quarter, easily hitting the over in this spot.

Jaylen Brown OVER 23 Points

Jaylen Brown has been the most consistent scorer for the Celtics throughout the playoffs. He has stepped up when Jayson Tatum has been on a cold streak, making the Celtics that much more dangerous down the stretch.

We like Brown’s odds of scoring close to 28 points tonight, making for a relatively sweat-free bet here. The Celtics rely on his scoring output, and we’re certainly banking on him in this one as well.

Kristaps Porzingis UNDER 24.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists

Kristaps Porzingis has missed over a month of action for the Celtics. He has struggled with a few injuries over the past few seasons, and as a result, he hasn’t played as much as his teams hoped for.

We believe Porzingis might be a bit timid in his first game back, and as a result, his output on the stat sheet will not be very significant. We’re fading Porzingis’ PRA total in Game 1, needing to see what he can do before taking his overs.
