Top 5 NBA Player Prop Picks for Wednesday, February 14: Can the Clippers Slow Down Draymond?

NBA bettors will fall in love with the Valentine’s Day slate of games on tap for this evening. A total of 14 games are jammed onto the slate Wednesday, the last action most of these teams will see before the NBA All-Star break this weekend.

What are the top games – and players – bettors should observe heading into Wednesday’s action? We’ll cover our top five NBA player prop bets for Valentine’s Day 2024 below.

Miami Heat Bam Adebayo OVER 22.5 Points

Miami’s scoring options are led by a trio of 20-point scorers – Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo. On any given night, either of these players can lead the team in scoring, depending on the matchups presented within the game.

With Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid out for the next six weeks due to his knee injury, Adebayo will match up primarily against Nicolas Batum down low. Expect Adebayo to dominate the post, easily eclipsing the 23-point mark Wednesday against the 76ers.

New York Knicks Jalen Brunson OVER 1.5 3-Point Field Goals

First-time NBA All-Star Jalen Brunson has been magical for the Knicks this season. Heading into the All-Star break, Brunson leads the team in points (27.5/game) and assists (6.5/game) while also nabbing 3.9 rebounds per outing.

In a previous matchup earlier this season, Brunson went 0-4 from behind the three-point line. Since that contest, Brunson has made at least one attempt from the arc. Expect Brunson to make a pair of triples tonight as New York faces off against the Magic for a second time.

Boston Celtics Jayson Tatum OVER 43.5 Reb + Asst + Pts

Boston leads the NBA heading into the All-Star break, owning a 42-12 record through 54 games. The Celtics owe much of their success to Jayson Tatum as the small forward is averaging 27.3 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.7 assists thus far.

Wednesday presents a rare rematch as the Boston Celtics play a second-straight contest against the Brooklyn Nets. In Tuesday’s matchup, Tatum posted 41 points, 14 rebounds and five assists. Expect similar results tonight as Tatum should eclipse the 43.5 combined rebounds, assists, and points mark.

Dallas Mavericks Luka Doncic UNDER 32.5 Points

Dallas has played above its expectations this season. With multiple injuries plaguing the Mavericks this season, superstar Luka Doncic has carried the load for the 31-23 team. Doncic is averaging a league-best 34.7 points per outing while grabbing 8.8 rebounds and 9.6 assists.

Bettors would rarely be advised to take the under on 32.5 points for Doncic. However, the guard continues to deal with the effect of his broken nose, and his play has been sporadic since the injury occurred. With the All-Star break just around the corner, expect Doncic to play conservatively and attempt to mend his injury against San Antonio on Wednesday night.

Golden State Warriors Draymond Green OVER 6.5 Assists

With the Golden State Warriors barely above .500 this year, the team may have finally found a spark to reignite their winning ways. After serving a multiple-game suspension, Draymond Green has helped the Warriors win seven of their last eight games with his hard-nosed defense and team-first mentality.

Since returning to the team in January, Green has made his mark facilitating the offense. In 12 games, Green is averaging 6.75 assists per outing and has eclipsed six assists in four of the team’s eight games this month. Expect Green to do much of the same against the Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday night.
