Top NBA Player Prop Picks for Friday, February 23: Expect a Big Night from Jalen Johnson

Friday is one of the best days for the week for NBA fans and DFS players. Need help making your player prop picks? Check out our top selections here!

While Anthony Edwards has a great matchup on tap against the Bucks, look for Jalen Johnson and the Hawks to sneak away with a win against Toronto via his elite shot-making and length.

G Anthony Edwards (MIN) OVER 27.5 PTS

Edwards comes into this game after dropping 41 and 34 points in his last two before the All-Star break. The Wolves are in 1st place out West riding on a four-game win streak.

Looking at the Bucks’ recent struggles under Doc Rivers especially on the defensive end, Edwards is due to have a solid outing with fresh legs after the All-Star break. Averaging over 30 PPG in the month of February, his MVP push really begins tonight.

F Jalen Johnson (ATL) OVER 15.5 PTS

The Hawks take on a Raptors team that played fairly well against the new-look Nets last night but should struggle to defend the lengthy Jalen Johnson and this Atlanta core.

Averaging over 16 PPG since the month of December, Johnson is finally coming into his own during his 3rd season in Atlanta. Quin Synder has given him the green light offensively, shooting 14 FG per game this month in eight games.

Let’s look for Atlanta to take this game against Toronto via Johnson’s elite 3-way offensive game.

F Bam Adebayo (MIA) UNDER 35.5 PTS+REB+AST

Miami gets an advantage here as it’s their first game post break while New Orleans comes into a back-to-back. However, with Jimmy Butler returning and the size of the Pelicans between Jonas, Nance, Zion, and Ingram potentially becoming a problem for Adebayo, this isn’t a great matchup for the Miami big man.

He’s only hit his 31.5 PTS+REB line 43% of games when Butler is active and drops to 29% when accounting for all three stats. Let’s take the numbers here and bet on Bam’s under.

G Devin Booker (PHO) OVER 6.0 AST

While Beal and Durant will have the ball in their hands a significant amount this game, the Point Book experiment is still happening for the Suns and Vogel. Booker has hit the 6 assist mark in four of his last five games and had 7 dimes in his last game against Houston.

Although his assist numbers have dropped month-by-month, look for the Suns to play make early and often against a Houston team that has dropped off in quality on the defensive end over the last few months.
