Top NBA Player Prop Picks for Monday, February 26: Will the Knicks Slow Down Jaden Ivey?

Ready for some NBA action? Let's make it a marvelous Monday with our top player prop picks for February 26. Best of luck, folks!

Our two best bets involve Keegan Murray to light it up from deep against a Miami defense that is due to play some zone defense without Jimmy Butler tonight, and for Bennedict Mathurin to continue his elite play with Aaron Nesmith out of the lineup.

G Jaden Ivey (DET) OVER 15.0 PTS

Ivey’s playing time has balanced out the last two months, averaging over 30 MPG since the new year. As Detroit’s season is fairly lost, Monty Williams should give Ivey, who is averaging 15 PPG in back-to-back seasons more of an opportunity to make an impact and bump his confidence up a notch.

With New York allowing over 125 PPG over the last two weeks and Jaden averaging 35% shooting from beyond the arc in February, this is a great spot for the 2nd year guard.

F Keegan Murray (SAC) OVER 2.5 3PM

With Miami down Jimmy Butler among others, this becomes a solid matchup for Keegan Murray, who has one of the more interesting shooting splits in the league. He’s shooting just 29% from downtown away, but at home in Sacramento?

He’s making 2.8 3-pointers per game on 42% shooting from deep. Not only does Miami play some zone defense which will be Murray’s bread and butter, but he dropped 33 points in their last matchup so look for his streak against the Heat to stay hot in a game the Kings should come away with.

G Gary Trent Jr. (TOR) OVER 11.5 PTS

We are on the Gary Trent Jr. train for the near future. The Raptors guard has averaged 11.8 PPG this season on 42% shooting from beyond the arc.

Against an Indiana team allowing the 3rd-most PPG this season, Trent should come close to his average of 10.5 FGA in the month of February to hit this mark.

F Bennedict Mathurin (IND) OVER 22.5 PTS+REB+AST

Mathurin has been elite on the stat sheet with Aaron Nesmith out of the lineup. He’s gone for 32, 26, and 30 PTS+REB+AST in his last three without Nesmith on the floor.

In Indiana’s back-to-back wins post-All-Star break, Mathurin has looked like a star player as he’s been playmaking more than usual for his teammates. This Raptors vs Pacers matchup has gone into the 240s total-wise in their two matchups this season, so expect plenty of opportunity for Bennedict to make his impact in this game.
