NFL Week 6 Pick'em Picks for Underdog

by Anthony Sarra | Published: October 11, 2023

Heading into Week 6, we have a better idea of who to trust and who to fade among the Underdog prop betting slate.

Look to take the over on emerging number one options within offenses, while continuing to fade the New York squads and their playmakers.

TE Chig Okonkwo (TEN) OVER 30.5 REC YDS

Okonkwo was one of our offseason favorites that wasn’t panning out until last weekend. Even with his slow start to the season, the uber-athletic tight end has hit the 58% snap mark in every game.

With the Titans still struggling to find their footing on the offensive side of the ball, look for Vrabel to utilize Chiggy more as they try to find another playmaker to pair with Hopkins.

WR Jordan Addison (MIN) OVER 0.5 TDS (1.25x)

Our favorite boosted bet of Sunday, Jordan Addison has taken on the WR1 role after Justin Jefferson’s injury heading into a matchup with the Bears.

With Chicago allowing nearly 177 yards and a score per game to the wideout position, there’s a solid chance Jordan finds the end zone for the fourth time this season.

Getting more and more of the snap share along with Osborn, expect the 1-4 Vikings to dominate this Bears secondary.

WR DJ Moore (CHI) OVER 68.5 REC YDS

Sticking with this matchup, DJ Moore has found his connection with Justin Fields, and it is extremely potent. Five touchdowns and three games with over 100 yards in his last four appearances, Moore is now an elite playmaker for the Bears and can be trusted in nearly every fantasy format.

The Vikings are allowing 236 yards to the position and don’t have a single player who can cover a guy with the speed, size, and route running like Moore.

While this offense should be more creative with the way they utilize certain playmakers, DJ might be matchup proof moving forward as the number one option and favorite target within the offense.

WR Adam Thielen (CAR) OVER 67.5 REC YDS

Another offseason favorite of ours, Adam Thielen has been producing for the young and struggling Carolina Panthers.

He’s hit this mark in three straight games and now faces a Miami defense that doesn’t allow scores to wideouts but is middle of the pack in yards allowed per game.

Should this game head where we think it will - with Miami taking over early, Bryce Young should give Thielen 10+ targets to work with as they fight their way back into this game.

WR Garrett Wilson (NYJ) UNDER 54.5 REC YDS

Our trust in Zach Wilson to give Garrett the amount of targets necessary to become a WR1 or WR2 option in fantasy has faded.

While he is an elite playmaker inside the red zone, 55 yards is a hefty number against a Philly defense that should dominate Wilson and the Jets in this game.

He’s averaging 55 yards per game this season, so this is more of a matchup bet than anything else as we obviously know GW’s skill. While he is a nice bet to score if the odds are boosted, his yard total is tough to trust.

K Matt Prater (ARI) OVER 1.5 FG MADE

With James Conner out and the Rams having a solid red zone defense, expect Matt Prater to be heavily involved in this game.

In three games against the Rams as a Cardinal, Prater has hit this mark. While McVay and LA should come out with the win, the Cardinals' weirdly good offense should put up some points at SoFi.

WR Stefon Diggs (BUF) OVER 89.5 REC YDS

Three straight games hitting the century mark. 6 or more receptions in each game this season. The Bills hosting the struggling Giants whose confidence level is dropping every week.

Coming off of a loss, we expect Diggs to be targeted 10+ times as this is almost a “must-win” game for the Bills after watching Miami dominate for the first part of this season.

Diggs is similar to McCaffrey as they are matchup-proof and maybe the two only players trusted to hit that century mark week in and week out.
