DraftKings Fantasy Lineup: NFL Divisional Round: Stack Stroud With Collins

The divisional round of the NFL playoffs is finally here! There are two games happening tomorrow and two going down on Sunday. DraftKings has a $2.5 Million DFS Fantasy Football Millionaire contest, so we decided to try our luck and put a lineup together.

Here is our favorite one that we concocted. There are a few contrarian plays that should differentiate this from others across the field. Let’s begin!

Quarterback: C.J. Stroud ($6,700)

The Houston Texans have an exciting matchup with the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. Conventional wisdom might indicate that Stroud will struggle in this game due to the Ravens’ staunch defense, but we’re going in the other direction.

Stroud can succeed in the passing game against the Ravens, especially with Marlon Humphrey out from their secondary. We’re more than confident to have him as our QB in this lineup.

Running Backs: Gus Edwards ($5,900) & David Montgomery ($6,100)

Gus Edwards makes a lot of sense this week. He can take some pressure off of Lamar Jackson in the passing game and could be in line for some goal-line carries. Edwards could also see some receiving work, which makes him a surprisingly high-upside play for us this weekend.

The Detroit Lions can’t determine which back they prefer in their offense. They drafted Jahmyr Gibbs in the first round for a reason, but they have used David Montgomery a lot throughout the year.

He is their clear goal-line back, and when push comes to shove, he might fall into the endzone for 2+ touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With that kind of ceiling in mind, we had to put him in this lineup.

Wide Receivers: Romeo Doubs ($5,600), Zay Flowers ($6,000), & Nico Collins ($7,100)

Romeo Doubs’ salary is a head-scratcher this week. Sure, he had a career day against the Dallas Cowboys, but it doesn’t mean he has peaked. Jordan Love trusted him in a must-win game and will likely be their WR1 again this week against a commanding San Francisco 49ers defense.

Zay Flowers is an incredibly impactful player in the Ravens’ offense. He has the potential to break for a big play at any moment, making him a boom-bust type of player. Considering this high upside, we had to take Flowers for this must-win matchup.

After selecting Stroud as our QB, we knew we wanted to stack one of his pass-catchers. Who better than his favorite target all season? Nico Collins has developed into a great WR1 Stroud in his rookie campaign, and it just seems like the two of them click well together. We expect him to get peppered with targets this week, resulting in a massive fantasy performance.

Tight End: Isaiah Likely ($4,700)

Isaiah Likely is our favorite tight end for the cost this weekend. Yes, we are aware that Mark Andrews could play, and that possibility is exactly why we chose Likely.

Andrews could be a big decoy in this game, allowing Likely to get open, especially near the goal line.

Flex: Dontayvion Wicks ($4,900)

Like Flowers, Dontayvion Wicks is a game-breaking player. The 49ers might have one of the league’s best defenses, but if he beats a cornerback or safety, Wicks will be off to the races.

Look for him to have at least one long touchdown catch in this game, which will be worth his price tag.

Defense:  Kansas City Chiefs ($2,700)

While many believe the Chiefs and Bills will have a close game, we think it will be a dominant game for the Chiefs. They have had the Bills’ number in the playoffs throughout Patrick Mahomes’ career, and with a better defense this year than they have had in years past, we like the Chiefs’ odds of shutting Josh Allen down.
