DraftKings NFL Lineup for Wildcard Weekend: Stack Goff With Gibbs!

Sunday’s slate of Wild Card matchups should provide a lot of drama and excitement. All three games have been highly touted for different reasons, but if the excitement lives up to the hype, we should be treated to a great football weekend.

DraftKings is offering a $2.5 Million contest for the Sunday slate, and since it is one of the last times we can play DFS, we’re chomping at the bit to put a lineup together. Here is our favorite lineup from the Sunday slate!

Quarterback: Jared Goff ($6,200)

The Detroit Lions have an interesting matchup with the Los Angeles Rams this weekend. It’s a homecoming for Matthew Stafford, which should be an emotional day for all involved. We expect this game to be somewhat of a shootout, which could be a great fantasy day for Jared Goff, who averages 18.9 PPG.

Running Backs: Jahmyr Gibbs ($6,500) & James Cook ($6,600)

We wanted to have a stack with Jared Goff, but with the value we found at receiver, we needed that stack to be Jahmyr Gibbs. He can sometimes be risky, especially when David Montgomery is on the field. However, his upside is too good to pass up, so we’re putting him into this lineup.

While James Cook is certainly a great running back, this is a weather play more than anything. The game in Buffalo is slated to be a snowy, windy matchup, which lends itself to many rushing opportunities. Look for Cook to have a massive game, especially if he gets any goal-line touches.

Wide Receivers: Bo Melton ($3,300), Puka Nacua ($7,200), & CeeDee Lamb ($9,000)

Bo Melton is our favorite budget player of the week. Melton has performed well for the Packers, another young bright spot on this roster when given the opportunity. He has amassed at least 42 yards in his past three games and put up 105 yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings. While more Packers pass-catchers are back into the fold, he should still get a chance or two for a big play touchdown, the level of upside we are chasing in this lineup.

It’s not necessarily a stretch to throw Puka Nacua into this lineup. He broke the record for rookie receiving yards and has been a staple of the Rams’ offense all year. However, we think he could have another 100+ yard game this week despite the Lions' strong defense. Similarly to Melton, if Nacua has an opportunity for a big play, he will take it, resulting in a massive fantasy day for him.

CeeDee Lamb is the most expensive player on the slate, and we put him into this lineup without hesitation. He has been the picture of consistency for this Cowboys team, seemingly a lock to put together a notable performance when the team needs him most.

Tight End: Tucker Kraft ($3,300)

This week, Tucker Kraft is an interesting play, especially as the third Packer in this lineup. With Luke Musgrave’s status still up in the air, Kraft seems to have the TE1 role locked down and has gained the trust of Jordan Love. You’ll be thrilled if he scores a touchdown this week, but even 10 points could be enough for this lineup to get into the money.

Flex: Diontae Johnson ($5,000)

We wanted to take somebody from the Pittsburgh Steelers in this game, and Diontae Johnson made the most sense at this cost. He has big-play potential every week, and while this will be a snowy matchup, he might still have a few opportunities to score.

Defense: Green Bay Packers ($2,300)

We promise we’re not just taking the Packers’ defense because of their incredibly low cost. While the Cowboys are favored by a touchdown in this matchup, the Packers defense could be a sneaky play. If Dak Prescott’s interceptions come back to haunt him in the playoffs, the Packers could take full advantage, resulting in a great fantasy performance. This is certainly a risk, but it is one that we’re willing to take this weekend.
