Fantasy News for NFL Week 10

Fantasy owners looking for a late-season push have kept their eyes on the NFL’s injury report, especially with the amount of mid-season injuries that have occurred.

With multiple divisional leaders on bye this week, what players should fantasy owners seek as replacements? Find out that and much more in this edition of NFL Week 10 Fantasy News.

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray Activated To Roster

The Cardinals finally have their franchise QB available. Kyler Murray was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list to the active roster on Tuesday, clearing the way for the dynamic signal caller to play against the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Impact: The Falcons are one of the worst defenses in the league against QBs. Atlanta has yielded 21.33 fantasy points per contest, ranking as the fifth-worst defense against the position. The upside in starting Murray – who could show rust from a year-long absence from the game – is there for fantasy managers if the Cardinals elect to start Murray.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase Practices Thursday

After suffering a bruised back in Cincinnati’s 24-18 victory over Buffalo Sunday, Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase returned to light practice activity Thursday afternoon. The third-year pro out of LSU has caught 64 passes this season for 697 yards and four TDs.

Fantasy Impact: The Bengals could be severely limited at receiver after news broke Thursday that fellow WR Tee Higgins was in street clothes, suffering a hamstring injury in the team’s practice on Wednesday. If Chase nor Higgins suit up, Cincinnati’s receiving corps could be down to WRs Tyler Boyd and Trenton Irwin as its starters.

New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers Could Return This Season

The football world was buzzing Monday night when the New York Jets prized QB Aaron Rodgers was caught on a hot mic saying he could play again for the 2023 season. Rodgers, who was injured on the fourth play of the season, is recovering from a torn Achilles.

Fantasy Impact: On the defensive end, the Jets remain fantasy-relevant. Other than RB Breece Hall, New York does not have any players fantasy owners should start. Rodgers – who underwent a “speed bridge” surgery technique – would instantly elevate multiple players’ statuses for the struggling Jets’ offense.

Minnesota Vikings QB Josh Dobbs Set To Start Sunday

One week after playing for Minnesota without a practice rep, the Vikings will elevate QB Josh Dobbs to the starting role for their contest against the New Orleans Saints. In the Week 9 surprising victory over the Atlanta Falcons, Dobbs completed 20 of his 30 passes for 158 yards and two TDs, including the game-winning score with under a minute left in the game.

Fantasy Impact: While Dobbs was able to have an immediate impact for his new team, don’t expect this Cinderella story to continue. The Vikings face a stronger defense this week against the Saints. Fantasy managers can still consider playing Dobbs as the QB rushed for 66 yards and a TD, adding to his fantasy value for QB-strapped owners.

Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III Questionable For Sunday

Despite suffering multiple injuries this season, Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III has yet to miss a game. That streak could end in Week 10 when Seattle plays the Washington Commanders. Walker currently is questionable to play after sustaining a chest injury in his team’s 37-3 drubbing against Baltimore.

Fantasy Impact: If Walker is a scratch, expect backup RB Zach Charbonnet to have a significant fantasy day as the starter. On the year, Charbonnet has recorded 170 rushing yards on 32 carries, converting two of those for TDs. The rookie RB also has caught nine passes for 52 yards this season.
