New York at Las Vegas: Pick'em Picks for Underdog

The first primetime game of Week 10 wasn’t exactly a barn-burner. The Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers combined for 29 points in their Thursday Night Football matchup, scoring just one offensive touchdown between the two teams.

Sunday Night Football might yield a similar type of game. The New York Jets are facing off against the Las Vegas Raiders, a matchup that hasn’t received a lot of hype. However, with the Jets coming off a devastating loss and the Raiders having newfound energy under interim coach Antonio Pierce, this game could go much better than people think.

We’re hoping for a game that’s worthy of watching on a Sunday evening, and the player props we have selected are indicative of that. After scouring the board for our favorite plays, we’ve come up with three awesome player props that can all be found on Underdog. Let’s begin!

Garrett Wilson OVER 5 Receptions

This is by far our favorite play of the night. Garrett Wilson is one of the best young receivers in the league and seems to play well even when Zach Wilson isn’t having his best game.

He has 5+ receptions in five of the Jets’ last six games, demonstrating his value to this offense. He is a safety valve in times of chaos, and we’re anticipating him to have a big game against the Raiders’ lackluster defense.

We expected this line to be closer to 6.5, making it pretty easy for us to take the over on 5 in this one.

Aidan O’Connell OVER 206.5 Passing Yards

Aidan O’Connell has been handed the keys to the Raiders offense. Pierce has expressed the utmost confidence in O’Connell, moving forward with him instead of Jimmy Garoppolo.

He’ll be looking to put up a big game in primetime, showing his coach that he’s worthy of retaining the starting role. O’Connell has eclipsed 207 yards in two of three starts this season.

While the Jets’ defense is one of the best in the league, this isn’t exactly a high benchmark for him to achieve. We like his chances to hit the over on his passing yardage total in this one, especially if the Raiders find themselves down early.

Josh Jacobs UNDER 20.5 Receiving Yards

Josh Jacobs might be called upon a lot in this one, but not as a receiver. He is the Raiders’ best rusher, something Pierce took to heart in his first game as head coach.

Jacobs had a whopping 26 carries last week against the New York Giants, a sign that Pierce believes in him to rush the ball effectively. With this in mind, Jacobs did not have a target last week, much less a reception.

Look for O’Connell to focus his passing efforts down the field this week, resulting in a limited workload through the air for Jacobs.
