SNF: Underdog Picks for Chiefs at Packers

This week’s iteration of Sunday Night Football should be one of the best primetime games of the year. Sports fans were treated to an excellent contest between the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football, and we’re hoping SNF provides a similar atmosphere.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers face off in this contest, each with a different motivation. The Packers want to bring their record to 6-6, bringing them into playoff contention within the NFC.

The Chiefs hope to maintain their position as the top team in the AFC, and a loss at this point in the decision could decide if they get a first-round playoff bye on the line.

With a lot on the line for both clubs, we’ve looked at Underdog’s player props, hoping to find great value along the way. We have found three props that seem particularly juicy, so without further fanfare, let’s take a look!

Marquez Valdes-Scantling OVER 11.5 Receiving Yards

This is a revenge game for MVS. He was formerly a Packer but has recently been brought over to the Chiefs as a deep ball threat, especially now that Tyreek Hill is gone. A lot of the Packers’ attention will be focused on Travis Kelce, so MVS might find himself open.

When he’s open, he catches balls of 15+ yards, making the over an easy cash if he has just one catch in this contest. Don’t overlook MVS this week, especially after his huge late-game drop against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Harrison Butker OVER 2.5 Made Extra Points

We expect this to be a high-scoring game, at least from the Chiefs. The current over/under in this one is 42.5 points, with the Chiefs being six-point favorites. If the Chiefs jump out to an early lead, Harrison Butker should have plenty of kicking work to do.

We’re anticipating at least three touchdowns from the Chiefs. If so, Butker is nearly automatic from this distance, hopefully making this an easy win.

Tucker Kraft OVER 26.5 Receiving Yards

While Jordan Love hasn’t finished his first season as a Packer, there are a few things that we have gleaned from his short time in Green Bay. One of those things is the fact that he loves targeting tight ends.

Love has targeted tight ends 65 times this season, as they are a great resource when he gets into trouble. He might find himself in a few difficult situations against the Chiefs, forcing him to dump off passes to Kraft.

Kraft proved himself worthy last week, and we expect him to be a more significant part of the offense moving forward.
