Top 5 Fantasy Point Winners in Week 16 of the NFL 2024 Season

Week 16 of the NFL season had everything fantasy managers love — massive performances, late-game heroics, and, of course, some explosive stats.

As the playoff picture sharpens a bit more with week 16 in the books, these players stepped up and delivered absolutely huge fantasy outputs. They’ve helped teams clinch wins or even survive tough matchups.

Player Rush Yds Rush TD Receptions Rec Yds Rec TD Pass Yds Pass TD FP
Jonathan Taylor 218 3 39.80
Justin Jefferson 10 144 2 36.40
Jayden Daniels 258 5 34.42
Chuba Hubbard 152 2 4 13 32.50
De'Von Achane 120 1 6 70 31.00

Jonathan Taylor (39.80 Fantasy Points)

Jonathan Taylor turned back the clock to his old ways and reminded everyone why he was a top pick in fantasy drafts just a couple of seasons ago.

Facing the Tennessee Titans, Taylor put the Indianapolis Colts on his back and carried his team with a monster game. He rushed for an insane 218 yards and locked up 3 TDs. He punished the Titans’ defense at every turn.

Taylor’s long runs were unquestionably the story of the day, as he ripped off multiple 20+ yard gains. It just goes to show his vision and explosiveness even at his age.

For fantasy managers, this was a dream performance especially coming in a big week where many fantasy and even real-world playoffs were on the line. After battling injuries earlier this season, Taylor looked like he’s back to peak form at the perfect time.

Looking ahead, we’re thinking that Taylor’s playoff impact could be huge. If he stays healthy, and that’s a big IF, he’s set to continue dominating, especially with the Colts relying heavily on the ground game in their playoff push. If he keeps this up, we’re in for a wild ride.

Justin Jefferson (36.40 Fantasy Points)

Justin Jefferson showed once again why he’s one of the most dangerous players in the NFL.

The Vikings edged out the Seahawks 27-24, largely thanks to Jefferson’s dominance. He hauled in a solid 10 catches for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns to cap it off. That includes the game-winning score late in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.

Jefferson’s ability to add space between him and the defenders and make contested catches is absolutely unmatched.

For fantasy managers, his consistency is like a cheat code in a game — he delivers elite numbers nearly every week and doesn’t show signs of slowing down. This Week 16 performance was a reminder of why Jefferson is the WR1 in most leagues.

With the Vikings still fighting for a playoff spot, which we think they’ll get, Jefferson’s production isn’t slowing down — in fact, it’s ramping up. If you’re in the championship round next week for your fantasy league and have Jefferson on your team, you’re sitting pretty. If not, pick him up or trade him if you can.

Jayden Daniels (34.42 Fantasy Points)

The Washington Commanders got a much-needed win over the Eagles and nobody saw this one coming. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was the star of the show and many even calling him the MVP after that performance.

Daniels threw for 258 yards and 5 huge touchdowns. He even added another 81 rushing yards for good measure. His clutch TD pass in the final seconds of the game sealed the victory for the Commanders.

For fantasy managers bold enough to start Daniels, this was an incredible reward we didn’t see coming.

His dual-threat ability was on full display, and the Commanders leaned on his legs and arm to keep their playoff hopes alive. Daniels, for the most part, carried the entire team against one of the best teams in the NFL. While Daniels has been inconsistent, this game showed his upside as a fantasy superstar in the making.

Heading into Week 17, we’re thinking that Daniels’ value depends on the matchup. His rushing floor makes him an intriguing play in DFS formats or as a streamer in redraft leagues, but the ceiling seems limitless at this point.

Chuba Hubbard (32.50 Fantasy Points)

Chuba Hubbard delivered a huge breakout game just when the Panthers needed him most.

In a crazy overtime win against the Cardinals, Hubbard rushed for 152 yards and tacked on 2 touchdowns while adding 4 receptions for 13 yards. He looked absolutely unstoppable out there. His 48-yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter was the highlight of the day as it kept the Panthers in the fight to take it to overtime.

Hubbard has quietly been productive for fantasy managers in recent weeks. However this game was a bit different as it catapulted him into must-start territory. With Carolina’s offense finally getting it together and clicking late in the season, Hubbard has emerged as a focal point in the rushing attack.

For those lucky enough to have Hubbard rostered on their lineups, he’s a great option heading into championship week. His workload is undoubtedly secure, and his explosiveness makes him a threat to break off big plays. Start him and don’t look back.

De’Von Achane (31.00 Fantasy Points)

The Miami Dolphins kept their slim playoff hopes alive with a huge win over the 49ers, and rookie sensation De’Von Achane was a big reason why.

Achane posted a monstrous 120 rushing yards, 70 receiving yards, and a TD. He was putting on a clinic and showing off the versatility that has made him a rising star. He’s one you’ll want to watch for years to come.

Achane’s dual-threat ability makes him a perfect fit for the Dolphins’ offense. He has a knack for finding open space on an elite level. Fantasy managers who have been patient with Achane to break were rewarded with a monster performance at the perfect time of the season.

As the season winds down, Achane looks like a must-start option in all DFS formats. His combination of speed, skill, and finding opportunities makes him a league-winner heading into Week 17. Given his lack of production earlier in the season you might be able to find him available to pick up.

Load Up Your Week 17 Lineups

Week 16 featured several jaw-dropping performances across the board. Most of the big plays were thanks to these 5 players.

Whether it was Taylor’s bruising ground game, Jefferson’s insane heroics, or Achane’s all-around brilliance as a rookie, these players delivered when it mattered most for their fantasy managers.

For the few fantasy managers still in contention, keep riding these stars to secure your championship. And for those who faced them — better luck next year!

Even if you’re out of the traditional fantasy leagues, there’s still plenty of DFS action ahead.
