Week 9 NFL DFS Sunday Lineup

From Bryce Young to Josh Downs, expect some rookie breakouts this week while veterans Alvin Kamara and Adam Thielen need to have a spot in your Week 9 DFS lineup. Check out who we got for Week 9 below!

QB Bryce Young (CAR) Salary: $5,100

After securing his first NFL victory, Bryce Young is due for a breakout week against a crumbling defense in Indianapolis.

The Colts have allowed over 300 yards of total offense in 7 of 8 games this season while opposing QBs are throwing for 400 YPG against a defense that has allowed 33+ points in three straight matchups.

With Miles Sanders healthy alongside a solid receiving core of downfield threats Jonathan Mingo & DJ Chark with Adam Thielen serving as the safety valve, Young is a 25-point candidate this week with a small salary tag.

RB Alvin Kamara (NO) Salary: $8,100

Although Kamara has a huge salary tag this week, you can’t leave him out of your Week 9 DFS lineup against a Bears defense that ranks bottom three in rushing attempts allowed per game, and nearly dead last in receiving yards allowed to opposing RBs.

AK has eclipsed 50 rushing yards in every game while averaging 109.6 total yards per game, not missing a beat after coming back from suspension.

He’s a walking 25-point-plus player this week and could single-handedly put money in your pocket.

RB Chuba Hubbard (CAR) Salary: $5,000

Chuba has led the Panthers backfield two weeks in a row, with 34 rushes. The Colts allow the 2nd-most rush attempts per game and a fair share of action through the air to opposing backs.

While Bryce Young will connect with Adam Thielen on most 3rd downs and red zone opportunities, Hubbard has shown flashes of becoming the lead back in Carolina, averaging nearly 5 YPC last season and 4 YPC this campaign.

In a high-scoring affair, expect Hubbard to break away for a few big gains.

WR Adam Thielen (CAR) Salary: $7,500

Sticking with this Carolina offense, our final piece to the puzzle in what should be a shootout is Adam Thielen.

One of the most consistent wideouts this season, the veteran has gone for 50+ yards and caught 7+ balls in every game since the opener.

The level of consistency combined with the Colts defense allowing nearly 300 yards per affair and 2 TDs to opposing WRs is why Thielen needs to be rostered in DFS lineups in Week 9.

WR Zay Flowers (BAL) Salary: $5,700

While Thielen embodies consistency from a veteran, Zay Flowers has been the most consistent 1st round rookie wideout. Although he had a quiet Week 8 against Arizona, Flowers has only seen less than six targets in a game twice this season while becoming Jackson’s go-to WR option.

Seattle allows the most receptions, yards, and TDs per game to WRs, so if there is one week to go heavy on Baltimore playmakers, this is the week.

Expect Flowers to turn in one of his best games of this season.

WR Brandin Cooks (DAL) Salary: $4,400

A veteran sleeper this week is Brandin Cooks, who has been heating up for the Dallas Cowboys. Cooks has caught a TD in each of the last two weeks and will now face a Philly defense allowing nearly 2 TDs per game to wideouts.

While the defense will be concerned and focused on stopping CeeDee Lamb after his massive performance against the Rams, expect Cooks to be the beneficiary.

TE Dallas Goedert (PHI) Salary: $4,800

Goedert is the tight end to trust this week. He’s caught 4 or more passes from Hurts in all but two weeks and is becoming a valuable red zone target for this offense.

With solid offensive squads on a bye, Dallas becomes one of the premier options at a lower salary as you won’t find many options playing 85% or more of snaps at the TE position this week.

FLX Josh Downs (IND) Salary: $5,200

Along with Flowers and Nacua, Josh Downs has been a solid rookie playmaker thus far. Downs faces a Carolina defense that allows more damage on the ground, but that won’t stop the speedster from making his impact with the quickly developing relationship with Minshew.

In the past four weeks, Downs has caught 5 or more passes in each affair, had three games over 70 yards, and scored 2 TDs. While Pittman remains the WR1 in Indy, expect Downs to be a better DFS play with a smaller price tag.

DST Saints Salary: $4,100

The Saints face up against the Chicago Bears at home, looking for a win to stay atop the NFC South. Chicago is at the bottom of the league in FPTS allowed to defenses, and with Fields inactive, expect Dennis Allen’s defense to get after Tyson Bagent early and often.

The Saints already have 9 INTs and 15 SCK this season. Those numbers should get a boost this week.
