It’s not a battle of the heavyweights this Thursday night, as the 1-7 Carolina Panthers take on the 2-7 Chicago Bears. Two teams struggling to find any positive storylines thus far, lean on the veterans to shine through on primetime.

QB Bryce Young (CAR) UNDER 235.5 TOT YDS

Although the Bears allow 288 yards through the air per affair, Bryce Young’s inconsistent start to his rookie year should flood into primetime. The Heisman winner has seen some darkness thus far, hitting this over just once while throwing for just 8 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.

While the Bears defense isn’t the scariest, expect a low-scoring game and rushing attacks to be on full display while Bryce Young continues his game-manager role.

WR Adam Thielen (CAR) OVER 0.5 TD (1.25x)

Our Underdog boosted bet of the night is Adam Thielen to score. The veteran has hauled in four touchdowns this season, all coming in games where he was targeted nine times or more.

Expect the Young/Thielen connection to hit that 9 target mark and while Young might not have a flashiest game, Thielen’s caught half of his touchdown passes in 2023, so it’s a fantastic boosted bet to add to the Underdog slate. The Bears allow exactly 1 TD per game to the wideout position.

K Eddy Pineiro (CAR) OVER 5.5 KICK PTS

Missing this mark in just two games this season, expect Pineiro to get back on track and knock in a few field goals for Carolina. Chicago allows 2 FGA per game and a near league-worst 4.7 XPA per contest.

While we won’t expect Bryce Young and the Panthers to run up the score, a few field goals from 40 or 50 yards out should give Eddy the over.

TE Cole Kmet (CHI) OVER 35.5 REC YDS

Kmet has been a revelation these past few weeks for fantasy managers and Underdog bettors. With Tyson Bagent at Quarterback, the tight end has caught the ball 16 times for 134 yards and 2 scores in his last two outings.

With Carolina allowing 52 yards per contest to the tight end position, Kmet is a solid bet to lead the Chicago receiving core in targets and perhaps, yards.

DB Jaquan Brisker (CHI) OVER 6.0 TKL

With the Panthers leaning on Chuba Hubbard and Miles Sanders on Thursday night, expect an abundance of tackling opportunities for the Bears secondary. Brisker has hit the 6 tackle mark all but twice in 2023, with his snap percentage hovering around the 60% mark.

While the Bears might try and put pressure on Young early in this primetime duel, we love Brisker to lead this team in tackles.
