Saints at Rams: Top Underdog Player Prop Picks
While Alvin Kamara should dominate through the air and Kyren Williams on the ground, look for the Saints' secondary playmakers to make an impact in a game where the Rams should take early control on Thursday Night.
RB Alvin Kamara (NO) OVER 31.5 REC YDS
Kamara has once again been dominant as a receiver thus far, hitting the 32-yard mark through the air in 9 of 11 games. With the Rams' passing defense allowing over 250 yards per game through the air, expect AK to have a better outing as a receiver than a rusher.
He has the most targets out of any RB in the league while missing the first four games of the season.
WR Rashid Shaheed (NO) OVER 31.5 YDS
With Chris Olave questionable for this matchup and failing to practice this week, the big-play merchant Rashid Shaheed is a player to keep tabs on. Shaheed is an inconsistent performer, but against susceptible defenses, is a great prop play.
Acting as NO’s WR2 even if Olave is good to go, the targets should be there for the 2nd-year playmaker to make his mark on TNF.
TE Taysom Hill (NO) OVER 15.5 RUSH YDS
Another elite Saints playmaker, Taysom Hill has been fairly quiet the past few weeks. However, in what seems to be a must-win primetime game, expect Dennis Allen to go Hill’s way on the ground once again.
With the swiss-army-knife averaging nearly 16 more YPG on the ground in wins, New Orleans should look his way in the red zone and on 3rd downs to keep the Rams defense on its heels.
QB Matthew Stafford (LAR) UNDER 34.5 PASS ATT
The Saints allow the 9th-least attempts per game in the league, and with their slow-paced offense, look for Stafford to hit this under. Going back to the splits, Stafford throws fewer passes in games the Rams win.
With the Rams playmakers all healthy, look for the ground game and slow pace to be a focal point for McVay on Thursday night.
RB Kyren Williams (LAR) OVER 19.0 RUSH ATT
While the Saints passing defense is once again a top-tier unit, their rush defense leaves something to be desired. Their defense has allowed 135 YPG on the ground during the last three outings to the Lions, Panthers, and Giants.
Furthermore, the Rams elite playmaker out of the backfield, Kyren Williams, averages 5 more carries in wins this season and has hit 21 or more carries in the last three outings.
