SNF: Best Underdog Picks for Eagles at Cowboys
Week 14’s iteration of Sunday Night Football should be one of the season's best matchups. The Dallas Cowboys are taking on the Philadelphia Eagles in this game, which has significant playoff implications.
If the Eagles win, they maintain their positioning as the best team in the NFC, holding off the Cowboys’ chances of overtaking them for the division lead. With a Cowboys win, they will have the same record as the Eagles, making the end of the season a tight race for the NFC East and a first-round playoff bye.
As things currently stand, the Cowboys are 3.5-point favorites, with the over/under now set at 52 points. While we are not taking a lean on the side of this game, we like the chances of the over hitting with flying colors.
Both offenses are finding their groove, and when looking at the player props for this game, we went with a few studs that we’re expecting to have big games. Without further fanfare, here are our favorite player props from Underdog. Best of luck!
Jalen Hurts OVER .5 Rushing & Receiving Touchdowns
Jalen Hurts got injured during last week’s game. His status is up in the air for this game, but if he plays, this is our favorite bet of the game. Hurts has scored a rushing touchdown in all but three games this year, with much thanks to the Tush Push, Brotherly Shove, and Toot Scoot, whichever euphemism suits your fancy.
The Eagles seem unstoppable with this play, and when given the opportunity, Hurts does not fail to deliver touchdowns. If he doesn’t play, we would still take Marcus Mariota’s over on this bet, should it be offered before the game!
A.J. Brown OVER 6 Receptions
We bought into the A.J. Brown narrative last week, and we’re drinking the Kool-Aid again this week. Brown tweeted about CeeDee Lamb last week, indicating that the Cowboys keep unleashing him in their offense.
The Eagles responded by giving Brown 13 targets last week, which he turned into eight catches. He is a big part of this offense, and whether it’s Hurts or Mariota throwing him the ball, we like his odds of catching at least six passes, especially against their long-time rivals.
CeeDee Lamb OVER 90.5 Receiving Yards
It’s no secret that CeeDee Lamb is Dak Prescott’s favorite target in this offense. He has gotten nearly 30% of the teams’ overall targets this season, a sign that they continue to rely on him.
Lamb has made opposing defenders pay all season and keeps putting up massive numbers. He has achieved at least 91 receiving yards in six games this season, including a 191-yard performance against the Eagles earlier in the year.
We love his chances of hitting at least 91 yards in this game. His career history with the Eagles is nothing short of spectacular, and for a player like Lamb to face one of the NFL’s worst secondaries, he should have a field day this week.
