Super Bowl 58 DFS Lineup Picks: Is Jake Moody Worth a Shot to Bounce Back?
We are all in on Patrick Mahomes to produce another iconic Super Bowl performance on Super Bowl Sunday, while McCaffrey and Pacheco are “must adds” to your lineup as potential 100-yard playmakers. Check out all of our Super Bowl 58 DFS lineup picks right here! Good luck!
QB Patrick Mahomes - Salary: $15,900 (Captain)
The assassin. The 2nd-half magician. The best player on the planet right now. If Patrick Mahomes isn’t your captain pick for DFS Lineups on Super Bowl Sunday, you are playing it all wrong.
Mahomes has not only put together two of three fantastic games in 3 Super Bowl appearances, but now with his best offensive line yet, should be an efficient rusher against the 49ers. Pat has upped his rushing total in each of these three outings.
With Kelce, Rashee Rice, and the running back group all viable receiving options, this offense is clicking on all cylinders and should find the holes in this 49ers’ defense. San Fran’s defense has allowed 52 points in two playoff games and over 450 yards through the air. We like Mahomes to have a career-defining performance as his offense is riding one of their hottest streaks in his career.
RB Christian McCaffrey - Salary: $12,000
It’s essential to take the best player on each squad to insert into your lineup. Christian McCaffrey had a subpar performance in the NFC Championship game against the Lions. Yet, he totaled 132 yards and scored two touchdowns.
With Kansas City allowing over 113 YPG on the ground and 4.5 YPC during the regular season, this happens to be a “plus-matchup” for CMC, who should get receiving work early as the Chiefs won’t allow Deebo or Aiyuk to beat them downfield.
RB Isiah Pacheco - Salary: $8,000
One of the toughest players to tackle in the league once he gets a head of steam, Pacheco should put together another fantastic Super Bowl outing as the Chiefs lead back. Last year, he had 76 rush yards and a score on 5.1 YPC against the Eagles.
While the 49ers defense has been solid against the run during the regular season, they allowed 116 yards to Aaron Jones, 113 yards to David Montgomery, and 56 yards to Jahmyr Gibbs this postseason.
Look for Pacheco to get a handful of chunk plays in this game. He’s a safe bet to get 10 or more fantasy points as a flex in your DFS Super Bowl lineup.
WR Rashee Rice - Salary: $7,600
One of our favorite rookies this season, Rashee Rice has proven he’s the real deal with 20 catches for 223 yards and a score in three playoff games this season. He’s become Mahomes’ top option outside of Kelce.
With the 49ers added attention on Travis, look for Rice to get a handful of red zone targets and 3rd down catches to propel him to yet another solid outing. Rashee has been a consistent DFS performer with 10+ fantasy points in all but one game since Week 12 including playoffs.
K Jake Moody - Salary: $5,200
Although Moody has missed twice during this postseason, he’ll be indoors in Vegas and will face a solid red zone defense in the Chiefs who allow just 1.4 red zone scores per contest (T2nd in the NFL).
Steve Spagnuolo’s defense should give Purdy problems in the 1st half which will allow for these field goal opportunities in which Shanahan will capitalize, unlike Dan Campbell’s aggressive play this past Sunday.
RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire - Salary: $1,200
Our sleeper pick is Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who simply puts up numbers in championship games. In his one Super Bowl appearance against a tough Tampa Bay front, he had 64 rush yards and a score on just 9 attempts.
In college at LSU, he put together a 164-yard game against Clemson in the Tigers’ championship win back in the early part of 2020. While Pacheco will be the lead back on Sunday, look for CEH who did have 7 touches in five games this season, to potentially find the end zone on one of Reid’s red zone “magic plays”.
