Top Underdog Player Prop Picks for Thanksgiving
We have three NFC frontrunners making their mark this Thursday as the Lions, Cowboys, and 49ers will try and lock up their division leads on Thanksgiving day.
While betting on the Packers and 49ers quarterbacks to continue their great stretches of play, stick with Christian McCaffrey to outduel Seattle’s rookie running back as you enjoy your turkey tomorrow night.
QB Jordan Love (GB) OVER 228.5 PASS YDS
With Jordan Love hitting the 228-yard mark in four straight games, it’s time we start to view this offense as a threat to sub-par defensive units.
The Lions' defense has been on a rollercoaster ride thus far, allowing 400 or more yards and 38+ points in two of the last four games, while allowing under 10 points three times earlier in the season.
With Jordan Love gaining confidence and the receivers getting better and better each week in pressure situations, expect this Thanksgiving bout to see some fireworks through the air.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET) OVER 7.0 REC
Sticking with this rivalry matchup, look to Amon-Ra St. Brown’s consistency to shine through once again. St. Brown has gone for 8 or more catches in four of the last five matchups while seeing 9 or more targets in all but two games in 2023.
Although Amon-Ra hasn’t been a great play against the Packers' defense throughout his career, the battle for playoff positioning on Thursday should see the Lions going to their top playmaker in both short and long-yardage situations.
The Packers' defense will have their hands full with shutting down the rookies in Detroit.
QB Brock Purdy (SF) OVER 1.5 PASS TDS
The 9ers offense is officially back and better than maybe, ever. Brock finished with a perfect passer rating this past Sunday and has thrown for over 600 yards and 6 TDs in his two games since the bye week.
With the 49ers given the chance to virtually buckle up the NFC West title this week in Seattle, trust in Shanahan and this juggernaut of an offensive unit to destroy the weak Seattle defense that ranks in the bottom half in nearly every stat category.
RB Christian McCaffrey (SF) OVER 33.5 REC YDS
With Seattle ranking 25th in opponent passing first downs per contest, we love McCaffrey as a receiving option in this divisional matchup.
CMC has hit this mark in three of his last four games while seeing five or more targets in all but four games.
Again, this Seattle defense has struggled all around this season, so against the premier offense in the NFL on primetime, CMC and this offense should feast.
RB Zach Charbonnet (SEA) UNDER 76.5 YDS
While McCaffrey is a great play in a positive matchup, Zach Charbonnet might struggle to find his footing against the 49ers' defense that allows just 81.4 yards on the ground per game.
Though a backup to Ken Walker all season, Charbonnet hasn’t hit this over even with 50% or more of the snap share in the previous four games.
With this game bound to lean into the 49ers methodically run offense early on, expect Geno to utilize JSN, Lockett, and Metcalf in short-yardage situations rather than the rookie RB.
