Underdog Fantasy Review

Our Review Methodology

We try to keep our reviews as objective as possible and attempt to keep an apples-to-apples approach.

So, we've developed a set of guidelines that we follow with every review.

This allows us to get a comprehensive yet objective look at the DFS site we're reviewing.

These are the key areas we focus on—

  • Bonuses and Promotions. Every DFS site offers bonuses and promos, but they're not all created equally. We take a look at the bonuses for new customers and returning customers and check to see what the terms are.
  • Game Formats. Every DFS app and site has different game formats. We like to see if the game formats are easy to play, fun to play, and if they're well-executed. Some sites are a jack of all trades, while some focus on one or two.
  • User Interface. How's the app? Is it smooth and easy to use? We download each DFS app and see if it's user-friendly.
  • Reviews. While we do get our hands on the app and spend hours playing DFS on it, we like to see what others say. It lets us know if there are trends we might not be seeing.
  • Customer Support. Some sites have great customer support, while others may have an FAQ. But we like to see if a DFS site takes care of their current customers if they have problems.

Looking at these five areas is the best way to get a holistic perspective of a DFS app.

Underdog Fantasy's Bonus is for New and Existing Customers

Underdog Fantasy's promotions are a mixed bag. They offer a $100 deposit bonus, which is pretty standard in the DFS world.

Current Bonus 100% Deposit Match | Up to $100 + Pick'em Special
Underdog Fantasy Promo Code EWD
Available States AL, AK, AZ, AR, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MA, MN, MS, MO, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY

Of course, this is nothing to scoff at, but it's fairly typical.

Where they really stand out is what they offer existing customers of their DFS platform.

Underdog has been spicing things up with regular boosts and bonuses, particularly in the pick 'em area.

The best place to get these boosts is on their social media profiles. For example, we found their latest boost on X

  • Terry Rozier, 0.5 Double Doubles with a 2.25 multiplier boost!

That's a pretty sweet deal as well.

This approach adds a nice touch to the overall experience, especially during the football and basketball seasons.

Exciting and Unmatched Game Types

Aside from the bonuses, most of us gravitate toward a specific DFS site due to the games and game formats they offer.

Fortunately for you, Underdog Fantasy truly shines in its game formats—

  • Daily Fantasy Contests. These are the staple of most DFS platforms, and Underdog offers a rich variety. You'll find drafts available throughout the sporting calendar, with cash games in heads-up format or smaller groups. The platform really stands out with its "battle royale" options, where you can win big against large fields of users.
  • Best Ball Contests (AKA Best Ball Mania). Underdog has gained recognition for its best ball contests, where you draft a team, and the system automatically selects your best players each week for scoring.
  • Pick 'em Games. These offer a simpler, more straightforward way to play, adding diversity to your DFS experience.

We're a big fan of all of these game formats, but we understand that they might not be for everyone.

So, to help you out, we've put together this comparison of the different game formats so you can choose which is best for you.

Game Type Description Features
Pick'Em Players choose higher or lower on 2 to 5 of their favorite players' stats. - Simple and fast gameplay.
- The more picks, the higher the potential win (up to 20x).
Draft Traditional fantasy sports drafting format. - Engaging and strategic.
- Suitable for players who enjoy building and managing a team.
Best Ball Mania Big fantasy contest with a large prize pool. - Compete for a share of a $15,000,000 prize pool.
- Ideal for competitive fantasy players.

Underdog Delivers a High Performance App

When it comes to the app experience, Underdog Fantasy is smooth and clean.

Underdog Fantasy Screenshot
This shows screenshots of the app. This is the lobby where all of the games can be found.

In fact, it's one of the easier apps to navigate, and we don't just mean for DFS.

After we downloaded the app, we were able to log in right away and jump straight to our Pick 'em and Drafts. It was too easy just to use the menu at the top.

We didn't notice any glitches or lagginess, which is a nice change from some other DFS platforms.

All in all, the app comes off as a well-polished product.

We'll get into reviews in just a moment, but even in the app stores, it's highly rated for its user-friendly interface and engaging design, making it a favorite among many DFS users.

The app provides great tracking of live events (except for college football), enhancing the second-screen experience while watching sports.

Customer Reviews for Underdog Fantasy

So far, we love the Underdog app. The bonus is pretty legit, the games are some of the best, and the app is as smooth as it gets.

But that's just what we think and what we've experienced.

How do other users feel?

Platform Rating Total Reviews
Android App 3.9 Stars 5,000+ Reviews
Apple App 4.8 Stars 58,000+ Ratings

Those are some of the best ratings and reviews of any DFS platform we've seen in either app store.

The Underdog Fantasy app has received glowing reviews on the Apple App Store, boasting a 4.8-star rating from over 58,000 users. This high rating reflects the app's strong performance in terms of usability and overall user satisfaction.

On the Google Play Store, however, the rating is slightly lower at 3.9 stars, but the comments confirmed what we thought about Underdog. Users seem to love Underdog Fantasy.

This is the top comment in the Apple App Store—

TrewPhinsFan — Favorite Site, app, platform for Fantasy sports.

So I have been playing fantasy sports now for many years, for all sports, between sports bets, odds, stat lines, etc. And I have to say, by far my favorite is season long leagues with snake drafts but got tired of playing for free on ESPN etc, well I found Underdog a couple years back and was skeptical at first but tried it, and they matched my deposit both of the last two seasons I have played as well and I personally think it's the best app to use for season long fantasy sports, it's easy to use and navigate through the app and straight forward. I also play daily sports on apps like Fanduel and Draft Kings, but I am losing interest because I feel like they are over played matches, and also use auto bot generated lineups, but regardless I have used lineups on Fanduel we're I win nothing, but same line ups and scores on Underdog have put me in the win column. I use to win a lot, might not have been huge winnings but consistently won with multiple lineups and now it's opposite, I have had good lineups where I fall short of winning all the time because of one point. And again for me personally I love that Underdogs offers season long with large payouts and also offer snake drafts, only thing I wish is they would offer more entry contest to choose from, but other then that I can't complain and I will be playing on Underdog from here on out.

Note that this is from a seasoned DFS player. This fan even noted that the same lineups he uses on FanDuel that lose will result in a win in Underdog.

That's a pretty telling review.

Customer Support

In terms of customer support, Underdog Fantasy doesn't fall short, either.

Frankly, we thought this was going to be the catch with the platform. However, it turns out that their customer support is just as solid as everything else.

Support Method Description How to Contact
Email Direct email support for inquiries, issues, or feedback. Contact via email at support@underdogfantasy.com or check out their contact page
Live Chat Immediate assistance through a chat interface on their platform. Accessible through the website or app interface. The chat button is located in the bottom right corner of both.
FAQ A section with answers to commonly asked questions. Visit the "Rules & Scoring" section at Underdog Fantasy Rules for specific game rules and scoring.
Social Media Active presence on various social media platforms for updates, support, and community engagement. Follow and contact through
Twitter: @UnderdogFantasy
Discord: Underdog Fantasy Server
YouTube: c/UnderdogFantasy

While we didn't find a specific phone number for the Underdog Fantasy customer support, they do offer live chat, which helps get you on your feet in minutes.

The email option isn't bad, either. When we tested it out, we had a resolution within 4 hours. That is pretty competitive.

Underdog Fantasy is also really active on social media platforms, so you can get help through those channels as well.

If you're just looking to learn how to play on Underdog, then you'll want to check out their robust rules and FAQs page. They explain in total detail how to play them and all of the rules associated with each game format.

Overall, it's not too bad for a DFS platform. Most fall flat with regards to customer support but not Underdog.

Final Verdict for Underdog Fantasy

  • Our Rating for Underdog Fantasy: 4.8 out of 5.0 Stars

You already know how this Underdog Fantasy review is going to go.

We love the bonuses — can't get enough of the game formats — the app amazed us — the customer support is excellent — and all of the other user reviews back up everything we think.

With that, Underdog Fantasy emerges as a strong contender in the DFS space, thanks to its diverse game formats, user-friendly app, and engaging promotions.

While it has its limitations (like the tracking of live college football events), its strengths in-app experience and game variety make it a worthy choice for DFS players looking for a fresh and exciting platform.

We can't recommend Underdog enough. Give it a shot and win some cash!
