Week 6 of the NFL 2024 season saw some of the most explosive performances we’ve seen in a long time. Fantasy managers, of course, reaped the rewards and cashed in nicely.
Whether it was a breakout game from a rookie quarterback or a veteran reminding everyone of their skill, this week had it all.
So, with that, these are the top 5 fantasy point scorers from the action-packed games this weekend.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

| Baker Mayfield | 325 | 4 | 3 | 29 | - | - | - | - | 25.90 |
Chris Godwin (35.50 Fantasy Points)
Chris Godwin stole the show in Tampa Bay's dominant win over the New Orleans Saints. There is no questioning that.
He caught 11 passes for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns, pushing the Buccaneers to a 51-27 victory. Godwin was Baker Mayfield’s go-to target, and his deep-play ability was on full display, particularly with his 55-yard touchdown in the third quarter that broke the game open. There was no looking back after that.
Fantasy owners who started Godwin were rewarded with a whopping 35.50 points. This makes him the top wide receiver (and any other player) of the week.
His performance came at a time when the Buccaneers needed a lift following the challenges posed by Hurricane Milton.
For DFS managers everywhere, Godwin’s outing was a reminder of his elite WR1 potential moving forward. If he stays healthy and continues to see this type of target share, he’s a must-start every week. Don’t sleep on this gem, but his salary will start commanding some respect too.
Sean Tucker (34.20 Fantasy Points)
Sean Tucker had a career day, leading Tampa Bay’s rushing attack with 136 yards on 14 carries and adding 3 receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown.
His performance was important to the Buccaneers' offensive explosion, as he not only powered through tackles but also contributed as a receiver out of the backfield.
Tucker’s value in DFS leagues soared, with his 34.20 fantasy points putting him among the top-scoring running backs of the week. He delivered a complete performance, showcasing his versatility with both a 36-yard rushing TD and contributions in the passing game.
With Tucker emerging as one of the biggest components of the Bucs’ offense, fantasy managers should feel confident slotting him in as an RB2 with upside. Can he do this every week? Probably not, but keep tabs on this one as he should come with a cheap salary.
Caleb Williams (28.64 Fantasy Points)
Caleb Williams put together his best performance of the season — and his career — for the Chicago Bears. They torched the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 35-16 blowout.
Williams completed 23 of 29 passes for 226 yards and 4 touchdowns, adding 56 rushing yards to cap off a complete performance. His chemistry with tight end Cole Kmet, who caught two of those touchdowns, was undeniable. With that, Williams looked every bit the star quarterback the Bears were hoping for when they drafted him.
Williams’ 28.64 fantasy points were a bright spot for fantasy managers, especially those who took a chance on the rookie QB in DFS. His dual-threat ability adds a solid floor, and with the Bears’ offense clicking, he should remain a high-ceiling QB option as the season progresses. Time will tell if he can stabilize this potential.
Joe Mixon (27.20 Fantasy Points)
Joe Mixon came through in a big way for the Houston Texans in their victory over the New England Patriots.
Mixon rushed for 102 yards on 13 carries, adding 2 receptions for 30 yards and 2 total touchdowns, including a 10-yard receiving TD from C.J. Stroud early in the game. Mixon’s ability to pound the ball between the tackles while working in the passing game made him one of the most valuable fantasy assets of Week 6. Any time you can get points from a player in both the air and on the ground, it’s a good thing.
With 27.20 fantasy points, Mixon remains a reliable RB1 option for fantasy managers. His role in both the rushing and passing game ensures he has a consistent point floor, and if the Texans’ offense continues to roll, Mixon should continue to thrive.
Baker Mayfield (25.90 Fantasy Points)
We didn’t see this one coming.
Baker Mayfield had one of his best games as a Buccaneer, throwing for 325 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Bucs’ 51-27 victory over the Saints.
Mayfield overcame three turnovers to lead Tampa Bay’s high-octane offense. It wasn’t looking good at first. Then he started spreading the ball around to multiple receivers, including Chris Godwin and Cade Otton. His ability to bounce back from early mistakes and still lead the team to a convincing win shows his ability at this level. Players will have rough games, but they need to bounce back.
Mayfield’s 25.90 fantasy points make him a valuable QB2 or even a starting option in most leagues.
As long as the Bucs continue their pass-heavy approach, Mayfield will have plenty of opportunities to put up big numbers, especially with his talented receiving corps. He’s proving to be a solid option in matchups where Tampa Bay is expected to air it out.
While we’re not sure if he can keep this momentum going, we definitely recommend keeping an eye on his opponents to see who he’s up against. If they’re terrible against the pass, at least we know Mayfield can handle it with ease.
Honorable Mentions
We don’t always do this, but there are a few names that didn’t make the top 5 which we think should definitely get some recognition. As we mentioned, this was an explosive week for DFS and we’re going to give credit where credit is due.
- Jordan Love finally had a breakout game where he threw for 4 TDs and 258 yards netting him 25.62 fantasy points for the week. He’s got the tools, so is he really back from his injury? If he is, he’s easily a QB1 you’ll want to start.
- Bijan Robinson ran for 95 yards and notched 2 TDs in his game against Carolina. While he pulled in 25.50 points, we don’t think we’ve seen the end of him. Grab him for your lineup while you can.
